These systems are designed to treat small amounts of drinking water for use in the home. They can be installed under the sink or in the basement below the sink.
The following three types of POU systems are offered by Meadowbrook:
Reverse Osmosis (RO)
Over the last decade the importance of home reverse osmosis has dramatically increased. Reverse Osmosis Systems are designed to take out the dissolved minerals in the water.
The majority of home owners prefer the taste of reverse osmosis water to non-treated water. Home units provide quality water for drinking, cooking, coffee, tea, ice cubes, food preparation and can be used in humidifiers, aquariums, car batteries and steam irons.
Reverse Osmosis Systems can be installed to supply ice makers, refrigerators, sinks, wet bars and many other applications.
Meadowbrook sells Microline® Reverse Osmosis Systems. These RO systems are NSF and WQA tested and approved.
GAC Under Sink Carbon Filter
A filter with granular activated carbon (GAC) is one water treatment option available to remove certain chemicals, particularly organic chemicals, from water. GAC filters also can be used to remove chemicals that give objectionable odors or tastes to water such as hydrogen sulfide (rotten eggs odor) or chlorine.
In-Line Water Filter
In-Line water filters attach directly to the water line. They offer the convenience of filtered water with minor installation. They are also great for drinking water, coffee makers and automatic ice cube makers.
